Recent Program Changes

July 14

Beginning on Saturday, July 19, a brand new program will air on WJFF at 7pm. Produced by Emma Torres, Spanglish will be a bi-lingual show highlighting latino culture. Many of you are familiar with Emma's effervescent personality as Marco Bocanumenth's co-host of Panorama (Sunday, noon) here on WJFF.

Marion McPartland's Piano Jazz will move to Friday afternoon's at 1 pm following Stolen Moments with Les Mattis - making for a solid block of top notch jazz midday on Friday.

Due to time commitments. Christine Ahern is bidding farewell to her program, The Friday Forum, which previously aired at 1pm on Friday afternoons. A big thank-you to Christine for producing such a fine program spotlighting local concerns and culture.

Recently, Heinrich Strauch stepped down as host of Classics for Voice (Sunday, 10pm) for similar reasons. A team of volunteers has stepped up to continue the program of opera and vocal music. Led by long-time WJFF volunteer Edie Downs, the rotating cast of hosts will include Inge Grafe-Kieklak and Bill Jumper.

The Catskill Kids have also decided to retire their program, The Catskill Kids Show. "Thank you" to them for seven years of laughs, poetry, music and on-air antics.
